Day by day

Day 1: Arrive to Tanzania

Upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a Kiwoito Africa Safari representative, marking the beginning of your unforgettable adventure. A comfortable 2 to 3-hour scenic drive will take you to your lodge in Arusha, covering a distance of 50 km

Upon arrival, our manager will provide a detailed safari briefing, ensuring you are well-prepared for the incredible journey ahead. Nestled at the foot of Mt. Meru, your lodge offers breathtaking panoramic views of both Mt. Meru and the majestic Kilimanjaro. Unwind in the serene surroundings of Planet Lodge, where you will enjoy a relaxing overnight stay, complemented by a delicious dinner and a refreshing breakfast to start your day.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park

This morning, embark on a scenic journey from Lake Manyara National Park, one of Tanzania’s best-kept secrets, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and unique wildlife encounters. The drive, taking approximately 3-4 hours, offers stunning views of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, setting the stage for an unforgettable adventure.

As you enter the park, be on the lookout for Lake Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions, an extraordinary sight found in only a few places in Africa. These agile big cats rest gracefully on acacia branches, surveying the land below. The park is also home to large herds of elephants, known for their calm yet curious nature—don’t be surprised if one ambles up close to your vehicle, offering a truly intimate wildlife encounter.

Day 3: Lake Manyara - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to the legendary Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife destinations. Spanning nearly 15,000 square kilometers, the Serengeti is home to the world-famous Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles traverse the vast plains in search of fresh grazing.

As you journey deeper into the park, enjoy an en-route game drive, spotting a diverse range of wildlife. The Serengeti’s seemingly endless golden savannahs are dotted with acacia trees, rocky outcrops (kopjes), and seasonal rivers, creating the perfect habitat for Africa’s Big Five—lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and rhinos. It is also home to cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, giraffes, hippos, and more than 500 bird species, making it a paradise for nature lovers and photographers alike.

Upon arrival at your camp, immerse yourself in the unique experience of sleeping in the heart of the wilderness, surrounded by the sounds of nature. The night sky above the Serengeti is breathtaking, with thousands of stars illuminating the vast African landscape, making for an unforgettable safari adventure.

Day 4: Serengeti full day

An early morning start in the legendary Serengeti, where the golden light of dawn paints the savannah, offers the best chance to spot the big cats—lions, leopards, and cheetahs—before they retreat into the shade to escape the midday heat. As the wilderness awakens, witness the raw beauty of the African plains and the drama of predator-prey interactions in their most active hours.

After an exhilarating game drive, journey towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a haven of unmatched biodiversity and breathtaking landscapes. Here, you will spend the night on the rim of the world’s largest unflooded and unbroken caldera—the Ngorongoro Crater. Spanning approximately 20 kilometers across and plunging 600 meters deep, this natural marvel is a lost world teeming with wildlife, from the elusive black rhino to vast herds of wildebeest and zebras. The crater’s unique ecosystem and dramatic scenery create an unforgettable experience, making it one of Africa’s most spectacular safari destinations

Day 5: Serengeti - Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, we decent 600m into this magnificent crater for a morning half-day game drive. Ngorongoro crater is home to an estimated 30,000 wild animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black Rhinos. The crater has a dense population of predators like the Lion, Cheetah and the elusive Leopard. We will enjoy a picnic lunch at the Ngoitokitok springs while watching the beautiful hippos in and out the small spring lake in the crater. After lunch we will proceed with an afternoon game drive while we make ascend out of the crater and drive to the top of the crater rim for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Tarangire - Arusha - Depature

After breakfast, you will depart the Lodge then head to Tarangire National Park for Half Day Gamedrive , on this day you will be having your packed lunch. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African National Park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. After a picnic lunch we do an afternoon game drive then drive you back to Arusha or Airport for a drop off.
