On the first day of your classic safari, your driver will meet you at either the airport or your hotel in Nairobi. After a detailed briefing on the safari itinerary, you’ll set off for Lake Nakuru National Park, a scenic 3–4 hour drive. Along the way, you’ll pass through the spectacular Great Rift Valley Escarpment, where you’ll stop to enjoy its sweeping panoramas and capture memorable photos. Stretching from the Middle East all the way to Mozambique, this geologically active region is dotted with volcanoes, hot springs, and geysers.
Upon reaching Lake Nakuru National Park, you’ll check in and enjoy lunch. You may then relax with a short rest or freshen up before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Famous for its migratory flamingos and home to more than 350 bird species, the park is also a protected haven for endangered black and white rhinos.
Your day ends with dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.
Destination: Lake Nakuru National Park
Accommodation: Savora Lion Hill Game Lodge Camp
Meal plan: Full Board (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Begin your day with an early breakfast before checking out of Lake Nakuru and setting off for the iconic Masai Mara, a picturesque journey of about five hours. As you depart, enjoy en route game viewing through Lake Nakuru National Park, adding an exciting start to your day.
Upon arriving in the Masai Mara, you’ll check in and savor a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a thrilling game drive that will take you across the reserve’s sweeping plains until sunset. The Masai Mara is celebrated for its breathtaking landscapes, welcoming local communities, and an extraordinary abundance of wildlife—ranging from the famous Big Five to countless smaller species.
A highlight of this magnificent reserve is the Great Wildebeest Migration, where over 1.5 million wildebeests thunder across the savannah between July and October each year, creating one of nature’s most spectacular events.
As evening falls, return to your camp for a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay.
Destination: Masai Mara National Reserve
Accommodation: Zebra Plains Mara Camp
Meal plan: Full Board (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

After breakfast, you’ll set out on a full-day game drive, with a packed lunch provided to maximize your time in the wild. The Masai Mara is famous for its black-maned lions and rich population of resident wildlife, making it one of the few places where spotting the Big Five during a single morning game drive is entirely possible.
Cheetahs in this reserve are remarkably accustomed to safari vehicles; many of them rest in their shade and occasionally climb onto the roofs to get a better vantage point of nearby prey.
For bird lovers, the reserve is a paradise. Nearly 500 species have been recorded here, including 16 species of eagles, an impressive variety of hawks and falcons, 6 vulture species, 8 species of storks, 4 species of bustards (among them the Kori bustard, the world’s heaviest flying bird), and 9 dazzling species of sunbirds.
Destination: Serengeti National Park
Accommodation: Zebra Plains Mara Camp
Meal plan: Full Board (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Enjoy an early morning breakfast, check out with your packed lunch boxes, and proceed to the Isebania border post, where you’ll meet our Tanzanian liaison for your transfer into the Serengeti. Please ensure you have a valid Tanzanian visa in advance, as obtaining one on arrival can significantly delay your journey.
After completing the Kenya–Tanzania immigration formalities at Isebania, you’ll switch vehicles and continue toward the Serengeti. Though the drive is long, it offers spectacular scenery, an unforgettable experience, especially for first-time visitors. As you venture deeper into the park, you’ll quickly understand why “Serengeti” translates to “endless plains” in the local language.
This vast wilderness is the stage for the legendary Great Migration and home to more than two million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and numerous species of antelopes. You will arrive and check in at Embalakai Camp in the evening.
Destination: Serengeti National Park
Accommodation: Embalakai Authentic Camps
Meal plan: Full Board (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

As you crest the hillside, the vast Serengeti spreads out before you—an endless golden sea of grasslands stretching to the horizon. The name Serengeti, derived from Kiswahili, fittingly means “endless plains.” Covering approximately 6,900 square miles (18,000 square km), this iconic ecosystem is home to over two million large animals. Among them are more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and countless Thomson’s gazelles.
The abundance of grazing wildlife attracts powerful predators, including lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, which follow the herds across the plains. The park also hosts a remarkable variety of smaller species, such as rock hyraxes, bat-eared foxes, mongooses, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, baboons, and African hares—along with nearly 500 recorded bird species.
You’ll enjoy an afternoon game drive on your way to the campsite, taking in the incredible sights and sounds of this thriving wilderness. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at a public campsite or private tented camp/lodge.
Destination: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Accommodation: Embalakai Authentic Camps
Meal plan: Full Board (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

After breakfast at your camp or lodge, you will check out and set off for a final game drive in the Serengeti. You’ll explore the wildlife-rich Seronera River Valley—or other prime areas of the park—based on your professional safari guide’s expert judgment.
As always, your guide will stay in constant communication with other guides via the VHF high-frequency radios installed in our safari vehicles. This ensures real-time updates on wildlife movements and helps determine the most rewarding areas to visit.
Later in the afternoon, you will depart the Serengeti and drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving in time to check in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. You will spend the night at a comfortable mid-range lodge in Karatu, such as Marera Valley Lodge or Country Lodge. All meals are included.
Accommodation: Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp
Meal : Breakfast, Lunch , Dinner

Breakfast at your lodge you will descend early into the Crater floor for game drives in the Ngorongoro Crater.
The earlier you descend to the Crater floor so you may descend after breakfast or even with a packed breakfast to be at the Crater floor as early as you can and better your chances of seeing the rare animals like Black Rhinos with a little luck. Spend the better part of the morning exploring the Ngorongoro Crater until lunchtime.
Ngorongoro Crater with its 600 to 650-meter-high walls is like a natural zoo with the highest concentration of wild animals and it is here where you can even spot the Big Five even in one day if lucky enough.
After picnic lunch which you will most likely take at the hippo poolside designated picnic site, you will drive up the Crater rim and out of the Conservation area. You will return to Arusha where you will arrive later in the afternoon.
