Arrival in Arusha
Your journey begins in Arusha, the vibrant safari hub of northern Tanzania. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be transferred to Gran Meliá Arusha, a five-star property set in a lush garden with sweeping views of Mount Meru. This luxury hotel offers spacious suites, fine dining, and world-class amenities, giving you time to relax and settle into the rhythm of your honeymoon. The evening can be spent enjoying a romantic dinner together, perhaps accompanied by a glass of wine as you prepare for your adventure ahead.
Day 1: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you will set out for Tarangire National Park, a destination known for its dramatic landscapes dotted with ancient baobab trees and large herds of elephants. The park is rich with wildlife, including lions, giraffes, wildebeest, and a remarkable variety of bird species. A private game drive allows you and your partner to enjoy the wilderness at your own pace, pausing to watch wildlife up close and take in the quiet beauty of the savannah.
Lunch will be served at a scenic picnic site inside the park, adding a touch of romance to the day. In the late afternoon, you will continue to Acacia Farm Lodge, located on the escarpment near Karatu. The lodge combines boutique luxury with a warm, intimate atmosphere. Day 2 – Ngorongoro Crater, Departure
Your final day takes you to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most extraordinary natural wonders in the world. The crater floor is home to an unparalleled density of wildlife, including black rhinos, lions, elephants, and hippos. With its mix of grasslands, forests, and a large soda lake, the Ngorongoro Crater offers a safari experience unlike any other.
As you descend into the crater at sunrise, the sight of mist lifting over the rim creates a breathtaking moment that sets the tone for the day. You will enjoy a private game drive across the crater floor, with opportunities to spot the Big Five in one place. A picnic lunch will be served at a scenic spot overlooking the lake, allowing you to soak in the views before returning to Arusha. Depending on your schedule, you will either be dropped off at Gran Meliá for another overnight stay or transferred directly to the airport for your onward flight.
