Your safari begins with a drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park in the morning. This park is known as the “home of the giants” because it has large herds of elephants. The park also has ancient baobab trees that are spread out across wide savannahs and seasonal swamps. During the dry season, when animals like zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and lions are drawn to the Tarangire River, the river is the park’s lifeline.
Bird lovers will also like Tarangire. More than 500 kinds of birds have been seen here, including the pretty Kori bustard and the bright yellow-collar lovebirds. After a full day of game driving, you will go to a nice lodge or tented camp just outside the park, where you will relax and eat dinner while listening to the sounds of the African night.

After breakfast, you travel to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but rich reserve set against the breathtaking Great Rift Valley escarpment.
The shallow soda lake is home to thousands of flamingos, and baboons, blue monkeys, and hornbills can be found in the forests that border it. Additionally, Lake Manyara is home to tree-climbing lions, a highly unusual behavior that is only seen in a few locations throughout Africa.
You can see a variety of animals throughout the day in the park’s diverse ecosystems, such as hippos wallowing in the lake or even a herd of elephants moving through acacia woodland. Lake Manyara is the ideal destination for your safari because of the stunning scenery and wildlife.

On your last day, you’ll visit Ngorongoro Crater, a world heritage site and one of Africa’s most famous wildlife sites. The crater is the largest continuous volcanic caldera in the world, covering about 260 square kilometers. It is also home to a lot of wildlife.
When you get to the bottom of the crater, you’ll be surrounded by animals. The grasslands are home to big groups of lions, spotted hyenas, buffaloes, and wildebeests, while the marshes are home to hippos and elephants. It is also one of the best places in Tanzania to see the endangered black rhinoceros. The walls of the crater are high and usually covered in mist. This makes a natural enclosure that keeps animals inside, so you can see a lot of wildlife all year round.
After your game drives are over, you’ll climb up the crater walls and head to Arusha. This will be the best part of your safari.
This program is ideal to those who have limited time and wish to explore the iconic wildlife of the Tanzainian wildlife and in various settings. Every day, the best things happen on the Tarangire plains, where elephants roam, or the shores of Lake Manyara or Ngorongoro Crater, where flamingos fly. You will have a real and memorable experience of Tanzania’s natural heritage with the help of professional safari guides and comfortable places to stay.
