Suricata Boma Lodge
We welcome you to Suricata Boma Lodge. We are strategically located between major national parks, with stunning sunset views (you will not want to miss) of the Rift Valley. The hotel is environmentally friendly. The placement of buildings on the land, their architecture, interior design, and chosen local materials are perfectly integrated with the surroundings. Our buildings evolve respectfully around the baobabs.
Our interior design is a declaration of our love for Tanzania. All our objects with soul are handcrafted using local materials and techniques by artisans. We believe luxury and simplicity are inseparable. Staying local is a way of showing you, our history.
The Lodge is a barrier-free hotel. All our buildings (main building, spa, pool bar, and pool itself) are accessible by ramps. We provide inclusive landscape design and accessible toilets in all buildings. We have one accessible bungalow.

From the building materials («chew» on the roof, concrete bricks on the walls, the banana trunk-leaf ceiling in the bathroom) to the artwork… from the furniture, cushions, curtains to the metallic curtain rails themselves, doors & windows: everything was handcrafted with traditional methods. We invite you to appreciate and enjoy our perfectly imperfect objects. Each one is unique and represents part of the history of its craftsmen/craftswomen.
Our construction represented an important source of income for local businesses. Investing in our region and country, in the maintenance and supply of the hotel, is our goal. We value local products and local work. We value made and handmade in Tanzania.
