In the village of Nungwi, on the north coast of Zanzibar, you can go riding over beaches, through villages, through unexplored jungles, and (at low tide) even to sandbanks in the middle of the ocean! Kids can go on 30-40-minute pony rides through the village and over the beach, and for adults, there are several possible rides to suit all tastes and levels.

Swimming with the Horses
Swimming with horses is an experience you will never forget; we do this bareback with natural halters. Swimming can be done by any level of rider including inexperienced. Swimming with horses can only be done at high tide.
Village & beach ride
This ride is suitable for all levels including 1st timers. We will pass through the edge of Nungwi Village and head north east to join the beach at the Nungwi Light House. At low tide we can also look for some local sandbanks that only appear when the tides goes out. We will then return to the stables along the beach, trotting and cantering for those who can.
Bush & beach ride
For experienced riders only who can canter proficiently. We will head out of the stables and make our way through the rear roads of Nungwi and then head south west through the bush and back beach roads. After about 40 minutes we will join the amazing beaches of Kendwa and continue south to Kilindi Bay. We will then return to the stables along an 8km stretch of white beaches. We will walk, trot and canter at intervals all the way back to Nungwi.This is a ride that is only possible at Low tide and before 10am – beaches are too busy after
All their beach ride take place on the Northern Nungwi beaches, consistently voted a top 10 beach in the world and their evening rides take in the amazing sunset. Feel free to stop by and see their stables and meet the horses.
If you are inexperienced or a bit nervous, it can be arranged for the horses to be led by their grooms.
NOTE: All the rides are suitable for first-time riders as well
